HOW HITS TECHNOLOGY WORKS

Tesla Magnetic Muscle Stimulation

The StarFormer PRO uses Fotona's proprietary HITS (High Intensity Tesla Stimulation) technology. Powerful magnetic pulses pass harmlessly through clothing and skin to reach deep muscle tissue, triggering supramaximal contractions that are stronger than anything you can achieve through voluntary exercise.

Unlike electrical stimulation, HITS is comfortable for most people because magnetic pulses bypass the skin's pain receptors. A 2021 review in the Journal of the Laser and Health Academy examined this class of high-intensity magnetic stimulation and describes how it recruits muscle fibres that are difficult to activate through exercise alone.

The StarFormer PRO is a medical-grade magnetic muscle stimulation platform manufactured by Fotona. It uses HITS (High Intensity Tesla Stimulation) technology to trigger supramaximal muscle contractions for pelvic floor strengthening and body sculpting. HITS (High Intensity Tesla Stimulation) is the technology used by Fotona's StarFormer PRO. HIFEM (High Intensity Focused Electromagnetic) is the technology used by BTL's Emsella and EMSculpt devices. Both use magnetic fields to stimulate muscle contractions, but the StarFormer PRO operates at 3.0 Tesla compared to Emsella's 2.5 Tesla maximum, and offers simultaneous multi-applicator capability through Quattro mode.

Most people find it comfortable. Magnetic pulses bypass the skin's pain receptors, so you feel strong, rhythmic contractions rather than pain. The intensity is adjusted gradually to your comfort.
