Facials at Pink Laser Clinics — Questions Answered
Which facial should I book first?
Most clients start with a consultation or a Signature Facial. Your therapist reads your skin, identifies what needs support, and maps the right treatment for that day and the weeks ahead.
Are your facials suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Every facial is tailored, not prescriptive. Your therapist selects professional-grade formulations calibrated to what your skin can tolerate, so sensitive and reactive skin is welcome.
How often should I have a facial?
A rhythm of every four to six weeks suits most skins, aligned to the natural skin cycle. If you are working on a specific concern, your therapist may recommend a tighter series followed by maintenance.
What is the difference between a facial and a clinical peel?
A facial is a tailored treatment focused on skin health, glow and hydration, suitable across all skin types. A clinical peel uses stronger actives in a structured series to target pigmentation, acne or deeper resurfacing. You can explore our Clinical Peels collection for that programme.
Do I need a consultation before my first facial?
A consultation is free and recommended, especially if you are new to Pink or balancing multiple concerns. For a straightforward Signature Facial or HydraFacial, a short in-room assessment at the start of the appointment is also fine.
Can I combine facials with laser treatments?
Yes, and many clients do. Your therapist sequences facials around laser hair removal, lightening or skin treatments so the active windows do not overlap and the skin barrier stays supported.
Are facials suitable during pregnancy?
Signature Facial, HydraFacial and MediSOL LED Light Therapy are generally suitable during pregnancy with pregnancy-safe product choices. Let your therapist know at booking so the treatment and formulations are adjusted appropriately.
Do you offer facials for men?
Yes. Our facials are built around the skin in front of the therapist, not the marketing label. Men book the Signature Facial, HydraFacial and LED Light Therapy regularly for hydration, congestion and post-shave recovery.
How do I choose between HydraFacial and a Signature Facial?
HydraFacial is device-led, fast and ideal when you want visible glow before an event or consistent monthly maintenance. The Signature Facial is therapist-led and more customised, suited to skins that need a slower, more assessed approach.
Will a facial help with acne, congestion or breakouts?
A tailored facial can calm active breakouts, clear congestion and support the skin barrier. For persistent or moderate acne, your therapist may recommend pairing facials with a clinical peel series or light therapy for stronger results.
Can facials help with pigmentation or uneven skin tone?
Facials can brighten tone and support an even complexion over a series, particularly with LED and professional-grade actives. For established pigmentation, your therapist will usually recommend pairing facials with a targeted lightening or peel programme.
Is there any downtime after a facial?
For HydraFacial, Signature Facial and LED Light Therapy there is typically no downtime. Microdermabrasion can leave skin slightly pink for a few hours. Your therapist will explain the specific recovery window for the treatment you choose.
How long does each facial take?
Most facials run between 45 and 75 minutes, including assessment and aftercare. HydraFacial sits at the shorter end, the Signature Facial at the longer end. Allow a little extra time for your first visit.
What should I do, and avoid, before and after my facial?
Before: pause retinol and strong acids for 48 hours, avoid fresh sun exposure and arrive with clean skin if possible. After: keep the skin simple for 24 to 48 hours, use SPF daily and follow the written aftercare your therapist provides.
