MediSOL LED Light Therapy at Pink Laser Clinics Doncaster
Clinical light, restorative calm. Four wavelengths. One seamless session.

LED Light Therapy

A Facial Made of Light

Not every skin concern asks for exfoliation, extraction or active ingredients. Some ask for calm, light and time. LED Light Therapy is that answer, delivered through specific wavelengths that reach the skin's own cellular recovery machinery. The rhythm is slow. The result is skin that feels settled, clearer and quietly alive.

Every session uses the MediSOL medical device, a French-engineered LED panel calibrated for clinical power density. Your therapist reads your skin and selects the wavelength combination your skin responds to best that day. Blue for breakouts. Yellow for redness. Red and near-infrared for renewal. The protocol is built around the reading, not a fixed recipe.

Your LED Session, Step by Step

Skin consultation before LED Light Therapy session at Pink Laser Clinics Doncaster

Step One

The Consultation

Your therapist reads your skin and your goal for the session. Wavelength combination, session length and any pairing with complementary treatment are discussed before the light switches on. Nothing is pre-decided.

Step Two

The Preparation

A considered cleanse lifts makeup, sunscreen and surface oil so the skin receives the light at full strength. Protective eye shells and Deleo safety glasses are fitted for every session, without exception.

Step Three

The Light

Twenty to forty-five minutes beneath the MediSOL three-panel array. Warm, painless, and eyes fully shielded. The sensation is quiet and still, more rest than treatment, while the skin absorbs clinical-dose photobiomodulation.

Step Four

The Recovery

A short debrief and aftercare note. No downtime, no sun restriction, no disruption to the rest of your day. You can return to makeup, sunlight and activity immediately, while the cellular response continues to build through the next seventy-two hours.

What LED Light Therapy Treats

Acne and Breakouts

Blue 415 nm & Red 630 nm

Blue light targets surface bacteria associated with breakouts while red light supports the skin's calm, settled appearance. Clients with breakout-prone skin often notice visible improvement over a course of sessions.

Anti-Ageing and Collagen

Red 630 nm & Near-Infrared 850 nm

Red and near-infrared wavelengths support the skin's natural renewal process. Clients notice a more luminous, firmer-looking complexion over a sustained programme, with most first results visible between sessions six and eight.

Rosacea and Redness

Yellow 590 nm

Yellow light may help calm the appearance of visible redness and support a more even, settled skin tone. A considered option for reactive and sensitive skin, with no heat and no downtime.

Pigmentation and Uneven Tone

Yellow 590 nm

Yellow light supports a more even skin tone and a brighter complexion over a programme of sessions. For deeper correction, your therapist may pair LED with our PinkRX Chemical Peel or our Skin Lightening and Brightening programme.

Sensitive and Reactive Skin

Full Panel, Calibrated

LED is the only modality in our Gateway Facials suite with no post-session restrictions and no active recovery. A gentle entry point for clients who struggle with chemical or mechanical treatment.

Post-Laser Recovery

Near-Infrared 850 nm

Near-infrared wavelengths may support skin comfort and recovery following laser treatment. A calm, restorative addition to your post-treatment care in the days that follow.

Post-Peel Recovery

Red & Near-Infrared

LED may support barrier comfort and recovery following a chemical peel, making it the natural companion to our PinkRX Chemical Peel programme.

Your therapist reads your skin on the day and calibrates the protocol. You do not need to decide in advance.

The Science of Light

Blue · 415 nm

Clearing the Skin

Targets surface bacteria associated with breakouts. Most effective in combination with red light, which addresses the visible flush that often comes with active acne.

Yellow · 590 nm

Calming and Brightening

Settles visible redness and supports a more even skin tone, including Skin Lightening and Brightening goals. The wavelength of choice for rosacea-prone and reactive skin.

Red · 630 nm

Collagen and Renewal

Penetrates the dermis and supports the skin's natural renewal process. The most researched wavelength in photobiomodulation and the backbone of the anti-ageing and post-treatment recovery protocols.

Near-Infrared · 850 nm

Deep Repair

Reaches the deepest layer of the skin we treat and supports cellular repair after laser or peel treatment. Also contributes to long-term firmness in the anti-ageing programme.

French-Engineered, Clinically Calibrated.
MediSOL Photobiomodulation.

Every LED session at Pink Laser Clinics is delivered on the MediSOL medical device, developed by Deleo's medical expert panel in France. MediSOL is a CE-certified Class IIa Medical Device (CE 0086), calibrated to a clinical power density between seventeen and two hundred and seventeen milliwatts per square centimetre across a 1755 square centimetre three-panel array. Supported by twelve peer-reviewed studies on photobiomodulation. Built to clinical standards, not cosmetic consumer standards.

What to Expect at Your First Session

Eyes Fully Protected

Protective eye shells and Deleo safety glasses are fitted for every session. Eye safety is not a discretion, it is a standard. The light itself never reaches your eyes.

Warm, Never Hot

The panels give off gentle warmth, not heat. Most clients describe the sensation as restful rather than treatment-like. You can close your eyes and settle.

No Downtime. No Disruption.

A soft flush for an hour or two afterwards is a normal vascular response. You can return to makeup, sunlight and your day the moment the session ends.

Your LED Programme

Phase One. The Foundation Course.

One session per week for four to six weeks. Most clients notice the first visible change between sessions six and eight. The seventy-two hour minimum between sessions aligns with the skin's own cellular recovery rhythm.

Phase Two. The Consolidation Programme.

Monthly sessions for four months. This phase locks in the work of the foundation course and supports sustained results. The difference between a short-term reset and a lasting skin shift.

Phase Three. Maintenance.

Ongoing monthly or quarterly sessions, calibrated by your therapist. Many clients pair LED with peels or laser during active treatment, then return to quieter maintenance as their skin settles.

A Quiet Companion

PinkRX Chemical Peel

LED accelerates the skin's calm after a chemical peel, supporting barrier comfort through the first forty-eight hours. The quiet, restorative half of the clinical one-two for pigmentation, acne and texture.

HydraFacial Syndeo

HydraFacial delivers exfoliation and hydration in a single session. LED deepens the cellular response and settles the skin. Together they form the most complete non-invasive facial programme in our Doncaster clinic.

LED vs Other Facial Modalities

Most light-based treatments at a cosmetic clinic fall into two camps. Heat-driven devices like IPL use broad-spectrum pulsed light to target specific pigment and vascular concerns in a single intense session. Active-driven treatments like a PinkRX Chemical Peel use professional-grade acids to correct pigmentation, texture and acne marking, with a few days of visible recovery afterwards. LED Light Therapy is different again. It uses low-level, non-thermal photobiomodulation across four wavelengths to support the skin's own cellular rhythm over a course of sessions, without heat, pain or downtime. It is the quietest modality in the room, and often the most sustainable long term.

A HydraFacial Syndeo gives you radiance in sixty minutes. A Signature Facial gives you a bespoke ritual. LED gives you a clinical programme. Most clients layer more than one across a year. Your therapist builds the sequence.

LED Light Therapy, Questions We're Asked the Most

The Deleo manufacturer protocol recommends one session per week for four to six weeks as the foundation course, then one session per month for consolidation. A minimum of seventy-two hours between sessions aligns with the skin's own cellular recovery cycle. Your therapist calibrates the pace to your skin and your goal.

Most clients notice the first visible change between sessions six and eight. Full foundation-course results are typically visible at the completion of weeks four to six. Individual results vary.

LED Light Therapy uses non-ablative, non-thermal photobiomodulation at specific wavelengths. IPL uses broad-spectrum pulsed light at higher energy for targeted chromophore absorption. Different mechanisms, different indications, different risk profiles. LED is the quieter, restorative modality. IPL is more targeted and more intense. Your therapist will match the right tool to the skin concern at consultation.

Clinical-grade devices operate at up to two hundred and seventeen milliwatts per square centimetre of power density. Typical at-home devices operate between five and thirty milliwatts per square centimetre. The therapeutic dose triggers a meaningful cellular response. Most home devices do not reach that threshold, even with consistent use. In-clinic LED delivers the clinical dose under therapist supervision.

Red at six hundred and thirty nanometres and near-infrared at eight hundred and fifty nanometres are the collagen-supporting wavelengths, acting on mitochondrial cytochromes in the dermis. The MediSOL panel at Pink Laser can combine both in a single session.

Near-infrared at eight hundred and fifty nanometres may support skin comfort and recovery following laser treatment. LED is a Deleo-validated post-laser recovery protocol, not a contraindication. Timing is confirmed at consultation.

Medical-grade LED operates under regulated device classification, validated clinical protocols and therapeutic power densities. MediSOL is a CE-certified Class IIa Medical Device (CE 0086). Cosmetic or consumer-grade devices sit at a different level in dose, mechanism and clinical evidence base.

The MediSOL device is supported by twelve peer-reviewed studies on photobiomodulation. The validated indications are acne, anti-ageing, rosacea, post-treatment recovery and pigmentation. Most clients in a full foundation course notice visible change in skin quality over four to six weeks. Individual results vary.

Red at six hundred and thirty nanometres is the primary anti-ageing wavelength. Near-infrared at eight hundred and fifty nanometres augments depth of penetration. MediSOL combines both in the anti-ageing protocol.

Blue at four hundred and fifteen nanometres targets surface bacteria associated with breakouts. Combined red and blue protocols are the most effective for active breakouts with a visible inflammatory component. Your therapist confirms the right combination at consultation.

LED is non-thermal, non-ablative and suitable across all Fitzpatrick skin types. The eye protection protocol, protective shells plus Deleo safety glasses, is applied at every session without exception.

LED may support barrier comfort and recovery following a chemical peel and is a Deleo-validated indication. Session timing and interval depend on peel depth and are confirmed at consultation.

Yellow at five hundred and ninety nanometres may help calm the appearance of visible redness and support a more even skin tone. Rosacea is a validated Deleo indication. Your therapist confirms suitability at consultation.

Red light therapy is one modality within the broader LED category. Medical-grade LED panels like MediSOL offer four wavelengths, blue, yellow, red and near-infrared, and combine them in targeted protocols. Not all LED therapy is red-only.

Please advise your therapist if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. LED is not listed as a confirmed contraindication by Deleo but pregnancy protocol is individually assessed at consultation. We do not make a blanket claim either way.

LED sessions run twenty to forty-five minutes depending on the protocol selected. Total visit time, including consultation and preparation, is typically thirty to sixty minutes.

Please advise your therapist at consultation if any of the following apply: photosensitising medications including isotretinoin, doxycycline or St John's Wort; active skin infections or open wounds on the treatment area; severe or active sunburn; recent Botox or dermal filler within two weeks on the treatment site; active cold sores near the treatment area; lupus, porphyria or seizure disorders; active cardiac implants; retinal or eye conditions. LED suits most skin types and most concerns. The consultation is there to confirm the right protocol for you.
