Benign skin lesion removal
Skin Lesion Removal Melbourne
Precise laser removal of raised, benign skin lesions, skin tags, moles and seborrhoeic keratoses, by experienced clinicians, using the Fotona Er:YAG 2940 nm laser. One lesion, one exact pass, a result you can see.
One laser, three precise lanes.
Raised skin lesions are common, benign and very treatable. The difference is in the precision: the Er:YAG 2940 nm wavelength is absorbed almost entirely at the surface, so our clinicians can remove a lesion layer by layer with minimal heat to the skin around it. That control is what protects the result, and what makes it suitable across the full range of skin tones.
Every lesion is assessed before we treat. We work with confirmed-benign lesions only; anything our clinicians consider needs a closer look is referred for assessment first.
What would you like removed?
Three dedicated treatments, each with its own approach, session plan and pricing.
Skin Tags
Soft, hanging tags on the neck, underarms or face, from the simplest to remove to larger tags with a blood supply.
Explore skin tag removal →Moles (benign)
Cosmetic removal of raised, confirmed-benign moles. Larger moles are planned across a short course for the cleanest result.
Explore mole removal →Seborrhoeic Keratoses
Raised, waxy brown growths that develop with age, not viral warts. Often the open lane no other Melbourne clinic explains well.
Explore keratosis removal →Which one is yours?
Not sure? You don’t have to choose. The consultation is free, and your clinician confirms what each lesion is before anything is booked.
Precision is the whole point.
Older methods, cryotherapy and diathermy, work by spreading cold or heat into the skin. Laser ablation removes only the lesion, in measured passes, leaving the surrounding skin intact. Less collateral heat means a lower risk of pigment change and a cleaner heal, which matters most for deeper skin tones.
Benign only, assessed first.
This treatment is for benign, non-suspicious lesions. At your consultation a clinician looks at every lesion you’d like removed. If anything should be reviewed by a skin-check professional first, we’ll tell you and point you to one before we treat. It’s the careful path, and it’s the right one.
Delivered by the Pink Clinical Team.
Meet the team →Lesion removal is clinician-led, and it’s a treatment most of our clinicians perform. Whoever you see, they assess every lesion you’d like treated, confirm it’s benign, plan the course, and choose the precise setting for your skin on the day.
Our protocols are set by the senior clinical team and held to one standard across the clinic, so the care is the same whoever delivers it.
“I had a face full of freckles and moles. This treatment helped reduce the dark colour and evened out my skin tone. Love it.”
Before you book
What’s the difference between skin tags, moles and seborrhoeic keratoses?
They’re all benign raised lesions, but they form differently. Skin tags are soft and hang from the skin; moles are pigmented and sit a little deeper; seborrhoeic keratoses are waxy, raised brown growths that develop with age. Your clinician confirms which is which at your consultation.
Can you remove more than one type of lesion in a session?
Often, yes. If you have a mix of skin tags, moles and keratoses, your clinician will plan the most efficient way to treat them together where it’s appropriate.
Does it hurt?
Most lesions are treated comfortably. We use numbing where it’s helpful, and the precision of the laser keeps treatment quick.
How many visits will I need?
Smaller lesions are usually removed in one. Larger or deeper lesions, including some moles, are planned across a short course for the best result.
Do I need a skin check first?
For skin tags, no. For moles and some keratoses, we treat confirmed-benign lesions only and will guide you to a skin check if you haven’t had one recently.
Is laser removal safe for darker skin tones?
Yes. The Er:YAG wavelength is precise and leaves minimal heat in the surrounding skin, which makes it well suited across the full range of skin tones. Settings are calibrated to your skin at consultation.
Will it scar or leave a mark?
Laser ablation is precise and controlled, so most lesions heal with little to no mark. Some temporary pinkness while the skin settles is normal, and we guide the aftercare that protects the result.
Is it covered by Medicare?
Cosmetic removal of benign lesions isn’t covered by Medicare or private health. We’ll set out the cost clearly when we plan your treatment.
Is the consultation free?
Yes. Your clinician assesses every lesion, tells you what’s involved, and plans it with you before anything is booked. Book online or call the clinic on 1300 549 008.
